Could the U.S. Lose a War with China Over Taiwan? The era of U.S. military primacy is over. nationalinterest.org/feature/could-us-lose-war-china-over-taiwan-195686Former Deputy Secretary of Defense Bob Work, who served under three Secretaries before retiring in 2017, has been even more explicit. As he has stated publicly, in the most realistic war games the Pentagon has been able to design simulating war over Taiwan, the score is eighteen to zero. And the eighteen is not Team USA.

Sandia’s Atomic ‘Avocado’ Could Allow GPS-Free PNTThe first-of-its-kind device, a vacuum chamber for containing clouds of atomic particles that drive quantum sensors, is about the size of an avocado. By Theresa Hitchens on November 01, 2021 Sandia National Laboratories has developed the core technology needed to create small enough quantum sensors to potentially free the US military (and civilians around the world) from reliance on GPS satellites for way-finding, according to lab officials.

Mr. Work is President and CEO of his own Company that provides insight, counsel and advice on defense and national security issues. In short, fear sells and he has a vested economic interest in selling fear. Both China and the USA have nuclear capabilities and I personally don't see either side winning in any of those 18 simulations...

Back to the Future: A Misguided Understanding of China’s Nuclear Intent by David J. Trachtenberg www.realcleardefense.com/articles/2021/11/05/back_to_the_future_a_misguided_understanding_of_chinas_nuclear_intent_802266.htmlThe discovery of hundreds of new Chinese missile silos that could house multiple warhead intercontinental ballistic missiles has left Western analysts scrambling to explain China’s surprising action....
It is true that China is not Russia or the Soviet Union. The truth about China may be much more worrisome. Yet, applying the same Cold War arms control logic to China today that proved erroneous then would be counterproductive and dangerous. Make no mistake: China sees the United States as a declining power and itself on the ascendancy.

I wouldn't worry too much about the Dong missile. There is anti missile tech to overcome that. The threat is 5 or more missiles coming at once. I don't mean 2 minutes apart, I mean within seconds of each other.
