It seems that these days you get a medal for showing up?  Seems he showed up a lot. Must have been in the Glee Club. Like grade inflation. My uncle was a US General so I recognise some of them.... While I grant you that his 'fruit salad' is fairly high on the fat, let's not forget that it is topped by a CIB with a star, and that he's been serving his country for over 40 years. This isn't to say he shouldn't be blamed for his mistakes, but unlike the Sock Puppet he's earned a little respect. |

There's also a Bronze Star with three oak clusters in the second row. He served in the Panama Invasion and the Bosnian conflict. Given the timing of those events, and what his rank may have been, (he did not come out of West Point) my guess is his CIBs and Bronze Stars were earned in those engagements. That said, he went totally off the rails at some point, and has done much to send the US Military on a slippery downward slope.

Ultimately there is really only one general solution to that very big problem. A solution not without problems and dangers of its own. The fundamentalist Shia leaders of Iran are not going to give this up or change their World View. They long for the Hidden Imam and will not jepordize their souls by not eliminating the Little Satan. |
