Agreed. But whenever large, unproductive, un-elected organizations make a concerted dash for power, slavery is in someone's future. I believe that our founders understood that. It is why they insisted on the individual bill of rights amendments. It is why they inserted the clause that the government has no authority to do anything that is not specifically "given" to it in the Constitution. We have let this slide "a bit" since the government victory in the Civil War. And will now have to fight "a bit" to get it back.
The old joke about the British Empire is not really a joke ... and applies to any large organization of men in history.
"Why does the sun never set on the British Empire? God would never trust an Englishman in the dark."

In her passionate nationalistic message, Meloni, then leader of Italy’s right-wing Brothers of Italy party, railed against the progressive forces in her country that have sought to dismantle the family, tradition, objectivity, biology, and other foundations of society.

Chesterton was a large man, standing 6 feet 4 inches (1.93 m) tall and weighing around 20 stone 6 pounds (130 kg; 286 lb). His girth gave rise to an anecdote during the First World War, when a lady in London asked why he was not "out at the Front"; he replied, "If you go round to the side, you will see that I am."[24] On another occasion he remarked to his friend George Bernard Shaw, "To look at you, anyone would think a famine had struck England." Shaw retorted, "To look at you, anyone would think you had caused it."

Hopefully she can help Italy. If she has a clone, we could use her.

Sounds like a modern variant of the children's crusade with Greta in the lead and a different goal in mind. Gore (as Hugh) and Kerry (as William) are the ones who will sell yo ass into slavery.
The variants of the long-standing story of the Children's Crusade have similar themes.[1] A boy begins to preach in either France or Germany, claiming that he had been visited by Jesus, who instructed him to lead a Crusade in order to peacefully convert Muslims to Christianity. Through a series of portents and miracles, he gains a following of up to 30,000 children. He leads his followers south towards the Mediterranean Sea, in the belief that the sea would part on their arrival, which would allow him and his followers to walk to Jerusalem. This does not happen. The children are sold to two merchants (Hugh the Iron and William of Posqueres), who give free passage on boats to as many of the children as are willing. The pilgrims are then either taken to Tunisia, where they are sold into slavery by the merchants or else die in a shipwreck on San Pietro Island off Sardinia during a gale.

The Guardian reports UN finds ‘no credible pathway to 1.5C in place’
Not surprising since they don't even know what 1.5C is.
