You guys are in trouble next year. I'm developing a complex algorithm that will predict exactly when the river breaks up! It's based on ice thickness, jet stream patterns and CO2! You could build a temple to the great God Charles Oscar II with government grants. Brandon and his climate and energy czars might show up for the dedication. No moving parts unless they are powered by the wind. Can you incorporate a data element for the reading of of bird entrails as inputs to policy decisions? I was reminded of one of my taglines: Placing the word 'climate' before 'science', is similar to placing the word 'witch' before 'doctor'.

I was reminded of one of my taglines: Placing the word 'climate' before 'science', is similar to placing the word 'witch' before 'doctor'. It is too bad that the witch doctors, which include the snake oil salesmen, credentialed semi-scientific charlatans and the truly befuddled, are recommending policies that throw money at semi-imaginary boogy-men, instead of real problems. I expect poor results. Some of them have gotten rich at the public trough. They should have to answer up as to whether greed or pure scientific delusion / incompetence are to blame. Settled science is an oxymoron. And the best of them know it ... and don't care. The rest of them drift on Charles Oscar's cloud and bring their offerings to the temple to collect their rewards. Their is no shame in failure. Science requires it to move along. The crime is in being an unlawful leach on society and believing your own shit. Or just being an outright thief.

The ice thickness is similar to last year at this time. I note that the tripod fell over last year a while before breakout. I'm going for...
