Putin on TV, offering $100 to people who have to leave their homes in Russia.
Because Ukrainians are there.
Just mind blowing.

Can we trust the translations? Anyone here speak Putinese? LATER: Google search seems to support the video.

Ukraine still occupies a small portion of Russia.
Russia is building defensive positions...In Russia.

What a joke. The mighty Russian Empire under Putin has first seen Prigozhen march half way to Moscow and now a group led by Kelly, Big Joe, Oddball and Crap game infiltrate enemy lines...

Lead elements of UKR forces are supported by artilliary, which with 30 mile range are now on Russian territory or they can only fire on their own troops.

Kursk was the scene of two large pivotal battles in WWII. Coming and going.

Ukraine are busy dropping bridges, isolating hundreds of Russian troops and more importantly, their armour...

what are we witnessing here is Russia truly in trouble or is this a wild gambit.
We have a played chess you run around in a mad gambit taking pieces while giving pieces each time hoping for more won than lost, then regrouping with an altered landscape.
Are both sides just pooped unable to break out of their entrenched positions but once through nothing left in the tank.
I hope this will precipitate a conclusion along reasonable lines. Not that hopeful, it hinges on how long Putin can stay out of a box.

Will the box be six feet deep? Seems to me that turnaround is fair play.

Not that hopeful, it hinges on how long Putin can stay out of a box. What we have learned from this war is that with modern satellites and surveillance technology it is incredibly hard to mass troops and go on the offensive without the other side knowing and making defensive adjustments. Both sides seem to be bogged down similar to WWI trench warfare. Somehow, someway the Ukrainians found a weakness in the Russian lines and were able to exploit it before Russia could make adjustments. One of two possibilities. 1.) The Ruskies did not "see" it coming and were sucker punched. 2.). The Ruskies did see it coming and were unable to make the defensive adjustments. In either case it does not look good for Putin's de-nazification efforts....
