Tesla CEO and SpaceX founder Elon Musk wrote to his 77.7 million Twitter followers on Monday that he was challenging Russian President Vladimir Putin to single combat and wagering Ukraine. "I hereby challenge Владимир Путин to single combat," Musk wrote, using Putin’s Russian name. He added, "Stakes are Україна," using the Ukrainian spelling for Ukraine. In Cyrillic script and tagging the Kremlin’s official account, Musk asked, "Do you agree to this fight?"

Is Elon really hated? I have always thought he was kind of quirkey ... but I like his willingness to come out and say potentially unpopular things ... particularly with the left. I haven't seriously evaluated it. Maybe he is just a sensationalist ... like challenging Vlad the Imploder.

If Ukraine survives, this guy is going to be a living legend. The Ten-foot Russian is becoming a Pigmy.
"Russian conscripts! Listen to me very carefully," Zelenskyy warned. "Russian officers! You’ve already understood everything. You will not take anything from Ukraine. You will take lives. There are a lot of you. But your life will also be taken. But why should you die? What for? I know that you want to survive."
"Therefore, I offer you a choice," the president said. "On behalf of the Ukrainian people, I give you a chance. Chance to survive."
"If you surrender to our forces, we will treat you the way people are supposed to be treated. As people, decently. In a way you were not treated in your army. And in a way your army does not treat ours," Zelenskyy added. "Choose!"
"We take trophies and use them to protect Ukraine," Zelenskyy said. "Today, Russian troops are, in fact, one of the suppliers of equipment to our army. They could not imagine such a thing in a nightmare."

Right, the anger was caused by the city or county pimping out Tulsa's beloved iconic golden driller statue to grovel for Elon to build his truck factory and headquarters in Tulsa rather than in Austin. There never was any class anger element to it as far as I knew.
"Sensible Republican"- in other words a democrat. If you could break down and understand GT Bynum's success fooling the voters and using the media in local Tulsa, we might better understand how we have managed to lose the entire country in a similar way.

Yes, the country with the invading army still seems like the greater evil to me, and you have to admire Ukraine, as you try to look through the cloud of propaganda and see what is happening. |

Based on previous experience, when the US government starts accusing someone of doing something that hasn't happened, it is usually a clear indication of what the US government is going to do. |

I've often thought our leaders are sht leaders because they've worked to it their whole professional lives. Wanting nothing else then power doesn't make you a leader. This Comic/Actor is well suited to portraying power and strength, he is what Ukraine needs right now. I've no doubt he has a strong mentality...he is also trained to play a role for effect to a camera, good combination. |

Well....we the public knew this, its been obvious and even before the invasion it was asked how armour would traverse Ukraines gloopy spring fields.
Tanks on roads, Ukrainians fire shoulder launched oven makers from Woods, Turkey shoot....
How many armies in the last 50 years have found out its difficult to win against a motivated, correctly supplied enemy with good knowledge of terrain?
Same sht different country.
