I definitely would not want to be downrange of either of those weapons under any circumstance. I have a strict rule about foreign objects penetrating my skin no matter how old the technology that propels them. [/quote] I agree Blu, apparently however the use of such weapons serves as evidence of something...so yeah, just providing evidence 😉

Article on value of OSINT.
But there's a downside.....the west is wide open with webcams, Google maps etc. Russia/China....not so much.

Even before electronics and rapid movement/communications, locals had ways of monitoring "the enemy" and getting the information out. Boston was "all eyes" when British troops went to move. And signal lights and horses spread the word.

Not on topic ... but you mentioned the Hoover Institute.
Two solar cycles ago Thomas Sowell published this with the Hoover Institute.
Thomas Sowell - Wikipedia Since 1977, he has worked at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, where he is the Rose and Milton Friedman Senior Fellow on Public Policy. Sowell was an important figure to the conservative movement during the Reagan era, influencing fellow economist Walter E. Williams and U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.

Maybe those nuns had their Nikes commandeered by some commissars.

One thing is for certain. With the economic situation getting worse in the West and bank turmoil all over the world you can expect more and more Euro's to start pushing for peace. They just can't live without their expresso's and caramel macchiatos.

Not sure if French garbage handlers are latte sippers ... but they're not happy right now.
