Captured Russian, there's plenty of similar footage out there, hardly a hardened fighter.

Captured Russian, there's plenty of similar footage out there, hardly a hardened fighter. Majority of these Twitter videos are fake. That being said, Russia is notorious for sending reserves in first and then using their best troops in the problem areas.

no worry, 'the West' will sanction it's way to victory (except for those RU banks we need to use for our oil and gas imports of course).

I feel for the Ukrainian people. This war has the potential to get much, much worse. Would assurances that NATO not expand into Ukraine have kept this all from happening? I don't think so. Putin is old school KGB who is quoted as saying the breakup of the USSR is “the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the century.” He has turned the Russian Presidency into a dictatorship, he seeks former Soviet glory and it is clear he has been preparing for this for years.
With that being said the U.S. needs to mind it's own business and insist the Euro's handle this problem on their own. We just spent the better part of the two decades fighting wars that started under questionable pretenses. Twice now treaties and alliances in Europe have drug the United States into the abyss. For once lets insist the Euro''s handle their own problem and deal with the Russian menace on their own.
I think economic sanctions is as far as our involvement needs to go.

We have violated all previous agreements with Russia about NATO expansion, I don't think they would believe us now. I agree,it is not our fight.

Pretty dangerous times when a fake news report out of Ukraine about a nuclear power plant causes a Senator to call for Putins assassination. Bolton calling for boots on the ground. State department threatening Xi with extreme sanctions(ooooh!) if they help Russia evade sanctions.
