I am going to read the whole thing. ENSO-ONI is a measure of surface ocean temperature anomalies (SSTAs) across large sections of the equatorial Pacific. The first sentence of the abstract states ... "Ocean warming trends are observed and coincide with the increase in concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere resulting from human activities." Who is she kidding? See chart. How do these trends bear any resemblance to CO2 trends? All I can do is refer to the author's name and simply state ... She is obviously Wong." The 2014 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report states that since the preindustrial era, there has been an increase in atmospheric concentrations of anthropogenic GHGs, principally carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (N2O) at a rate of 1.3%/yr from 1970 to 2000 and at 2.2%/yr from 2000 to 2010 (IPCC, 2014). The effect of this increase of GHGs on the climate system has a 95–100% probability of causing the currently observed and unprecedented warming of the climate since the mid-twentieth century. Emissions of CO2 from the burning of fossil fuels and industrial processes are most disconcerting, contributing to about 78% of the total anthropogenic GHG increase from 1970 to 2010.So much from so little? See the small volume of documented anthropogenic CO2 versus total CO2, which is growing at a faster rate. Of course, only human-generated CO2 is the culprit. I am getting generalizationally ill before even contemplating how small this IR component must be when compared to the total ocean-penetrating spectrum of the sun ... and this is only the introduction. Seems Occam's razor is already being violated all over the place. Definition of Occam's razor : a scientific and philosophical rule that entities should not be multiplied unnecessarily which is interpreted as requiring that the simplest of competing theories be preferred to the more complex or that explanations of unknown phenomena be sought first in terms of known quantities.

I had to grimace when I read that Missouri.

Selling themselves short, methinks. Me thinks I need read no further than this statement of faith ... For certain, some things are settled. We know that greenhouse gases are accumulating in the atmosphere as a result of human activity and that they are largely responsible for warming of surface temperatures globally. It is not far removed from the first pillar of Islam. "There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is his messenger." I am not bigley impressed.

Theory Brains is vital when making predictions about the future. I am making an appointment for another scrip of blood pressure pills.

The warming is a desired outcome. You should do something for that stutter, Sig.

They might be better served to genetically modify an intolerance to stupidity. How many fringe ideas from as little as 10 years ago are now considered mainstream? We live in a dangerous moment.
