The Anthropogenic forces are always the unseen "boogy man". They ride in a cloud of data dust and assumptions. Maybe the tropical storm drought is merely 'the weather' which, as we all know, has no memory.

Possibly not on topic but ... I find it (very?) interesting that there has not been a hurricane, typhoon, cyclone or named tropical storm anywhere on the globe for about a fortnight! Hurricane and Tropical Cyclones I've observed this phenomenon several times now so here's a question: Is there a reason/driver for periods of very low storm activity? Finally, an almost named storm TROPICAL CYCLONE TWENTY-THREE, threatening to become a depression.
